An International Driving Permit (IDP) is a special driving licence that allows motorists to drive vehicles in other countries without further tests or applications. If you are traveling overseas and wish to drive in another country, you may require an international driving permit.
Even if you do not intend to drive when traveling overseas you should carry an IDP because it will provide you with an extra photo identification. If you should need to communicate with foreign authorities, this recognizable form of identification can help you get on your way more quickly. The IDP is valid in over 150 countries, the permit contains your name, photo and driver license information translated into ten languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, German, Arabic, Italian, Scandinavian and Portuguese).

The following items are required to apply for your IDP:
- Completed International Driving Permit Application (PDF)
- Clear photocopy of your U.S. Driver's License (signature must be legible and photo must be sharp)
- (2) Two Identical Passport Photos
- Itinerary showing travel plans, if available
- Check or money order for $40 payable to It's Easy Inc. ($30 Service Fee to It's Easy Inc. and $10 Issuance Fee for the IDP)
- Return Shipping Fee (see below)
- A prepaid, filled in airbill from either Federal Express, UPS or DHL OR
- Include $25 for overnight delivery OR
- $35 for Saturday delivery OR
- you may pick up your IDP in person
